Like the birth of any work of art; Bijoux Dance Studio is an outcome of undying passion and hard work. The founder Bijoux started his journey of expressing through movement 17 years ago. Through perseverance and with inborn talent he mastered in Ballet, Contemporary, Pilates, Street dance and Indian free style. And as he danced through his journey of life he taught a many to do the same. Well, as they say people driven by passion always find each other. Co-founders Nyssha and Dr.Sameer Kanakiya joined hands with Bijoux to create a place of worship for those whose religion is dance. Street dance is in fact modern folk dance with the term 'street' being more accurate since much of the modern world is now urbanized. No rule is permanent , no move inhibited. Evolving everyday in newer ways street dance is a self image of many a classical forms of dance. So get on the street and free yourself. Who knows… your moves may be the next step in the evolution of street dance.

Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility and long, lean muscles, strength and endurance in the legs, abdominal, arms, hips, and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing to relieve stress and allow adequate oxygen flow to muscles, developing a strong core or center (tones abdominal while strengthening the back), and improving coordination and balance. Pilates' flexible system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced. Contemporary dance is a very interpretive style of dance that focuses on unconventional movements. Unconventional because it shifts away from classical ballet and lyrical dance forms. Contemporary dancers were considered revolutionary, pulling from non-western styles such as African style dancing. Unlike classical ballet, contemporary dance does not have fixed movements; instead it is a search for new forms and dynamics. It focuses on appositional movement, alignment, raw emotion, and systematic breathing.
